Mamarazzi: Every Mom's Guide to Photographing Kids
Stacy Wasmuth

Moms and grandmas ,if you can't seem to take enough photos of the kids in your life, this is THE book for you. I loved this book with its cute, natural photos of children. Loads of pages with photos. This book tells you how to compose shots, handle cameras from basics to advanced, take portraits or candid shots.
This book will help "mamarazzis" everywhere take better photos. Moms are the fastest growing segments of camera-toting, and the blogosphere has a term for them, mamarazzies.

As a mom and a grandma, I know you can never have too many pictures of your children and grandchildren. They grow too quickly and once the opportunity to take the photo is gone------it's gone! We are so lucky these days to have digital cameras. I grew up with film cameras. Take scads of photos, then delete those you don't like....it is so easy. No excuse not to take those cute photos, especially of children.

You will love this book and all of the fun information it provides. The baby and kid pictures inside are adorable. I am sure you will want to be a "mamarazzi".....

Have You Considered Buying a Timeshare?

There are a number of ways to make more money in this poor economy, and buying a timeshare just might be one of those ways. That is if you can afford the initial cost.Buying a time share might be a 50/50 shot at making some extra money. If you buy in the right location and for the right price, a timeshare might pay off big. However, if these factors are not in your favor then you might find yourself struggling to maintain and pay for the property. The first action you may want to take before purchasing a timeshare is hiring a timeshare attorney, which will help with the buying and renting process. After all, you may not have a clue what you are doing when it comes to such a large purchase.

Depending on where you look on the internet you will find pros and cons to buying a timeshare. While Marriott is a rather prestigious name, it may not be in your best interest to buy one of their timeshares according to this article Sell Marriott Timeshare Points. On the other hand Buy a Wyndham Timeshare might be in your best interest. It is important to shop around when buying a timeshare, as with anything else. The other bonus to making money when buying a timeshare it the great vacation spot you will have whenever you want to get away. You will be able to entertain friend and family in a great vacation spot anytime of the year.

Review: The Body Shop's Honey Bronze Line Up

I will admit, the first time I saw The Body Shop's Honey Bronze line up,my first impression was that it looked too dark. I don't have much for "color" right now and thought the make up products would really make me look too dark and un-natural.
I was wrong. These products will give your skin a great pick me up after a long winter without much color.

I tried the following great products and was quite pleased with the texture and the tone of color they gave me.I know my daughter is going to want to try them out as well. She loves that bronzed looked.

•The Body Shop Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil (A moisturizing dry oil with a formula that contains fair trade honey and beeswax)
•The Body Shop Honey Bronze Brilliance Powder
•The Body Shop Bronzing Gel for Face
•The Body Shop Bronze Lip Nectars
•The Body Shop Bronzing Powder

This range of great products is possible because of the hard work of the honeybee- providing honey and beeswax used across the range. The Community Fair Trade honey used in Honey Bronze is supplied by beekeepers from the Bale Mountains in the south of Oromia state in Ethopia. This Honey Bronze will be available in store and online beginning in May 2011.

Five Tricky Places to Use a Prepaid Debit Card

Prepaid debit cards are fast becoming the rage with not only unbanked customers (those without a traditional checking account), but teenagers and college kids, travelers and those wishing to go through life with an added safety in protecting their identity. Trying economic times have forced some toward prepaid cards and been the preferred choice of others when looking down both barrels of fee-heavy checking accounts offered by the super-sized, profit-driven banks. As the advantages of using prepaid debit cards continue to improve, there are also some potential traps that frequent or even not-so-frequent cardholders should be aware of.

The main thing to watch for when using your prepaid debit card, or a standard credit or debit card, for that matter, is what I call the "open-ended gotcha". The more technical term for this is an Authorization Hold. Basically, an Authorization Hold will be put on a card by a merchant that has an open-ended type of purchasing commitment by a customer. That is, the final bill total dollar amount for goods or services provided is unknown when the cardholder initiates the purchase. There are five common places that this might occur:

  • Booking or checking into a hotel or motel - Since there is a possibility that you might make a phone call, order room service, watch a movie or raid the mini bar, the hotel will place an Authorization Hold on your card in an amount higher than the actual room cost. If you are only making a reservation, confirm how the hotel is charging you to hold the room.

  • Reserving a rental car - Once again, unplanned costs may arise when renting a car. These might include additional mileage, filling an empty gas tank, extra days and even parking tickets. We won't even discuss the complexities of the insurance waiver here.

  • Filling up at a gas station - This has been a very sensitive topic for many as some gas pumps aren't even calibrated corrected for prepaid cards. Another hot button is the fact that even if you pay inside, an Authorization Hold could be put on your card for a large sum, say $100, when you only need $30. That could put a damper in the rest of your day if you only have $100 on your card and need access to that other $70. Your best bet is to just estimate an amount and have the cashier ring it up. Better safe than sorry. And you can always go buy a Snickers bar if you're a little over.

  • The last place you need to watch out for are restaurants - Although typically not a huge amount, gratuities to be added will affect your balance available if a hold is put on the card.

Typically, Authorization Holds last as little as a day or two, but can tie up your card for up to a week. Anytime you are doing business with one of the above merchants, it would be smart to make sure you have a large balance on the card and also it won't hurt to ask their policy on Authorization Hold. That way you will be prepared.

Our trip to California would not be complete without a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim. The park opened in July of 1955, and has been entertaining and thrilling families from around the world ever since. Despite being smaller in size compared to Disney World, the park has had over 600 million attendees since it opened its doors. We plan on riding many of the rides from classic Dumbo to Soarin 'Over California , and will probably have a hard time after all our playing, deciding on where to eat, from the many great food venues at Disneyland.

Additionally, we will also be checking out Disney California Adventure Park. This theme park explores natural wonders, vast wildlife and exciting jungles. While there we will be sure to check out Tarzan’s Treehouse and the Jungle Cruise. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park hold so much magic and surprise we can hardly wait to visit.

If your planning on a trip to Disneyland this summer, remember to check out their special offers.

For vacation planning, a free dvd awaits you.

Saturday April 23

Saturday, April 23, 2011

We're babysitting this cute little bunny for a few weeks, till my daughter opens the petting zoo for the year. My daughter runs our local petting zoo from May - September. She was able to pick up this single bunny and since we have shavings and hay here already for our guinea pigs, she's having us keep it here till the zoo opens.

Easter tommorow- hope you all have a nice one- spent with your families. I won't be making the big Easter supper this year as Erika is still away at college, so didn't want to have that without her being here as well.( I have the two daughters: Ria and Erika).

Gerry did oil changes on Ria and my car: cost was less than $20 each- and that included the oil and the filter. An oil change at the garage would have costed us a minimum of $40-$45.

Gerry spent the day working on our counter tops in the kitchen that we are re-doing. Once he is completed with that project, we will be happy to show you how that turned out. We are re-doing them as a review so it has costed us nothing but Gerry's time. Today we also saved almost $50 on a single standing cupboard, in white. It will be replacing our old and outdated china cabinet with this cupboard, that will store all my baking and cooking pans, china that we rarely use, tea towels,etc..It will open up the kitchen area as well. We also bought tiles for two rooms that were on clearance for .29 a tile. They won't arrive till next week, but we will be able to re-do our kitchen floor and a spare room for super cheap and I can't wait. I love great deals!

Happy Easter everyone!

Hollywood Here We Come

There are countless attractions in Hollywood, and we plan on exploring a number of them when we visit next month. One attraction we cannot pass up is the Guinness Museum, which features world records set in sports, space, food, animals and human achievement. The museum offers countless displays, and interactive games to make it fun for the whole family.

We will also be visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum. This particular museum features hundreds of wax statues of celebrities dating as far back to the 1960s all the way to todays stars. We cannot wait to see these lifelike statues of our favorite stars. When this family business started they had no idea what a successful attraction they were creating. We are literally counting down the days until our exciting trip and certainly do not want to miss these two thrilling museums.

Thursday, April 21, 2011

5 Ways to Save Money and Pay Off Debt

Most of us would like to be able to pay our debts off more quickly, but that's often easier said than done. However, with a few changes to the way you manage your finances, you may find it easier than you think to free up money for paying off debt.

A quick note: these are tips for people who are financially comfortable, but want to focus more on reducing their debts. If you're struggling, you may be better off discussing debt solutions with an expert debt adviser.

Get rid of things you don't needHow much do you spend every month on things you don't need? Be honest with yourself - it's probably more than you'd like to admit. Life would be boring without a few luxuries, but if you're focused on repaying debt then you should be able to make a few sacrifices.

Take a look at the things you spend a lot of money on - whether it's clothes, coffees, CDs or anything else. By cutting back, you could free up a good amount of money to pay towards your debts.

On top of that, why not get rid of a few things you already have but don't need? It's easier than ever to sell things online, so you could take advantage and earn yourself some money to help with your debts.

Use savingsUsing savings to repay your debts could take some of the pressure off your monthly budget. Alternatively, it could help you repay your debts more quickly - and the faster you repay your debts, the less interest you're likely to pay in the long run.

However, don't spend all your savings doing this, unless you're really struggling financially, because you might need them in an emergency - and find you're unable to borrow any money at a decent rate of interest.

Think about getting a 0% interest credit cardYou might think of a credit card as a way to spend money, but certain cards can actually make repaying debt easier. 0% balance transfer credit cards enable you to transfer debts from other cards and then repay them without interest, reducing the amount you pay overall by a potentially significant amount.

A few things to keep in mind, though: the interest-free period doesn't last forever (usually up to around 16 months) and you'll only normally be able to transfer debts from other credit cards - so it probably won't help with loans and overdrafts.

Finally, it's not a suitable solution for people with problem debts, because it doesn't address any underlying problems with your finances.

Switch providersSwitching supplier on things like gas, electricity and broadband could save you a lot of money. There is often a significant difference between the cheapest and the most expensive deals.

However, be careful. The very cheapest deals might not fully meet your needs, so make sure you're searching for the cheapest suitable deals rather than the cheapest altogether.

Walk/cycle instead of drivingA car is a necessity for some journeys, but if there's a shorter journey you think you could walk or cycle instead, you could save yourself money - and get fitter at the same time!

With the cost of fuel on the rise, finding alternative methods of transport could become increasingly important over the next few years. Get a head-start and get those walking boots on!

Frequent Flyer Programs If You Don’t Fly Regularly?

We’ve all joined frequent flyer programs with the thought that you’d get a free holiday out of it right? You choose the same airline each year on your holidays for this reason, sometimes missing out on the bargain holiday to an exotic destination.

Fast forward a couple years later and you’re still frustratingly accumulating points, even worse some of the air miles you initially generated are due to expire! By now you’ve had enough and doubts of giving up start to surface. This is why I’d like to share with you a little secret I’ve been doing for a couple of years now, well I say secret but in reality it’s fairly logical if you know where to look.

Frequent flyer program are designed to accumulate points every time you fly, however for the majority of the population who only fly a couple of times a year getting frequent flyer points is a waste of time, or is it? My secret is simple, maximise your frequent flyer points earnings with a credit card that is affiliated with a frequent flyer program, that way you can generate points on all your purchases and therefore accumulate enough points for your holiday sooner rather than later. That way you’re using your savings to full advantage and using rewards credit cards towards an achievable incentive… as long as you pay your credit card bill on time.

Why Is a Good Credit File Important?

Having a good credit file is the be all and end all in obtaining anything from a credit card to a car loan even a mortgage. This means that getting your finances sorted is critical for anyone looking to borrow money and is essential for any personal and financial plans. Here are 5 ways of ensuring a lender will deem you credit worthy:

1. Make sure that you don’t pay council tax, water, electricity or any other bill no more than 30 days late. Financial institutions will see your credit file as a risky proposition to lend money to.

2. Don’t cancel credit cards. It may sound silly not to cancel credit cards as they will form a basis of your ability to repay any payments back. You can always leave the mastercard in the draw for a rainy day.

3. No credit means bad credit. If you pay with cash all the time, financial institutions won’t have a full understanding of your spending habits and are less likely to lend.

4. Keep the credit card application activity to a minimum. Although it’s great that you have a credit card, it’s not so great if a financial institution notices that your can easily spend your years’ salary too early.

5. Don’t falsify information. Telling lies to a financial institution can be considered fraud, so it’s best to be honest at all times.

In short, as long as you don’t make any massive purchases unless you’re able to pay them within 30 days and are sensible with money, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be credit worthy.

Review and Giveaway( USA only) InfraShine Professional Styling Iron

I have some natural curl in my hair so on most days my hair has that beach blown hair look. There are days when I like to straighten it though. The first day I wash it it will dry with that nice beach look but on the second day and after sleeping on it, it's just looking wavy. These are the days in between washes that I like to straighten it.I have tried budget straighteners in the past but they just don't heat up enough to work well with straightening my hair.Erika has gotten a few from Ebay that are the professional ones, and they work very well, and your saving yourself more than what you would pay if you bought them at a salon.

A good styling iron, like InfraShine, is not inexpensive and should be considered an investment in your hair. The $159 retail price for this professional tool is offset by the 5000 hour rating, which means it is designed to last. Most professional irons are rated for 1200-1500 hours, and the $40 versions at local drugstores (etc) can’t even manage a portion of that.

I am very happy with the InfraShine Micro-Silicia infused ceramic styling iron. I'm sure my daughter Erika will be wanting to borrow it once she comes home from college!

InfraShine would love to give away one of these styling irons to one lucky winner from the USA, in a random draw to be held by Random.org on April 27,2011.

Gasoline Saving Tips As Prices Soar Near $4.00/gallon

Experts predict that gas prices will rise well into July, beating the spike of ‘08. How can Americans protect themselves from this ongoing and inevitable highway robbery?

1 Use cruise control: What seems like a simple convenience can also save fuel because the cruise-control system is almost always better at maintaining a steady speed and making smooth transitions when traveling on hilly highways.

2. Avoid buying higher octane gas than your car requires. Higher octane gas is more expensive, and if your car doesn't need it, you're wasting money. Most cars DO NOT require it though the manual will say its "recommended".

3. Keep your tires properly inflated. This can make a huge difference in your gas mileage -- up to 6% loss for every single pound your tire is under-inflated. Check your tire pressure frequently, especially if your tires have a tendency to lose pressure.

4. Consider getting steel-belted radial tires, since they can pay for themselves over time. They can increase gas mileage up to 10%.

5. Drive gently: Accelerating rapidly, speeding and other forms of aggressive driving can cut your fuel economy by 5% in around-town driving and by as much as a third on the highway, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Slowing down improves fuel economy and is also safer.

6. Don't carry unnecessary items in your car. Every 250 extra pounds eats up an extra mile per gallon.

7. Steer Clear of the Highway - Avoid the convenient gas station on the side of the highway as you drive home from work. Stations close to highways and Interstates charge more for those ideal locations.

8. Save money with self-service whenever possible. And pay cash if there is an extra charge to use a credit card/debit card.

9. Don't let your car idle, either when you warm it up or when you are at a standstill. If you're going to be standing for more than a minute, running your engine wastes more gas than restarting the engine.

10. Buy gas when it's cooler during the day (like the early morning or at night) to reduce gas evaporation.

11. This surprises a lot of people, but don't over-fill your gas tank. You don't want the gas to slosh out or evaporate.

12. Drive the speed limit - Most cars are less efficient at higher speeds. You'll save 2 miles per gallon driving 55 mph rather than 65 mph. That adds up.

13. Another obvious suggestion is to drive less. Combine errands, carpool, and plot out your route beforehand to avoid backtracking whenever possible.

14. Develop good driving habits. For example, accelerate gently, maintain a steady speed rather than speeding up and slowing down, and avoid slamming on the brakes.

15. Keep your windows closed when driving on the highway. Open windows can reduce your gas mileage by as much as 10%. In stop-and-go traffic, open the windows and turn off the air conditioning to save money.

16. Rent fuel-efficient cars when you travel. Research and find reasonably priced places to buy gas before you leave, especially if you'll be driving a lot.

17. Download Some Gas Apps for your phone - If you have a smartphone, there are plenty of free apps that help you find the cheapest gas near your destination. GasBuddy makes it easy with its free app, and Mapquest has an online finder for gas prices.

18. Buy Discount Gas Gift Cards - Did you know you don't have to pay full price for a gift card? Sites like GiftCardGranny.com offer a diverse selection of discount gas gift cards from various card vendors.

19. Be Loyal to Your Reward Card - Grocery stores across the U.S. offer up to 10 cents off per gallon for buying groceries and filling up at their tanks. Some stores offer an additional savings if you pay cash, when combined with your reward card. Just make sure you save your cashier's receipt to get the full savings.

Sunday -April 17

Sunday, April 17, 2011

We had our "indoor yard sale" yesterday. With only our sale and no others being held that day, or this weekend for that matter, and the weather only being a +2 degrees, we didn't have the best turnout. The usual garage salers we get every year weren't all there, and we could have had a bigger crowd. However, when all was said and done, we cleared $175 after 2 hours. We donated the leftover clothing and *glass cups/mugs, etc.,( *that are always hard to sell)to a lady who was collecting for her church's sale they were having next month. We packed the rest of the stuff up and put away for our next sale- which we think will be in August.

It's Double Coupon Day at our local drugstore tommorow, so I'm all ready with coupons in hand. I wish they carried more grocery products but I do get great savings on health, beauty and cleaning products.

It will be another few weeks and we will be off to pick up Erika from college. It will be nice to have her home again.I called the post office the other day as she will need mail forwarding- and was shocked to hear the cost for 6 months was $52 plus tax, if you are moving out of province. $100 for a year, but we will only be taking the 6 months. My mom said she remembers when the service was free!

My cell phone broke the other day when I was at the hall, setting up for our sale.It was already broken, but this break finished it off. I have had this flip phone forever. Gerry said it should be in a museum. Funny guy! So instead of buying a new phone and getting a contract, we are activating an older phone my niece got at a garage sale.A new phone would have costed a minimum of $30 plus I would have had to go on a contract PLUS an activation on a new phone is $40. I'm giving my niece $10 for the phone and activation is only $25 on an old phone.Great savings to be had when you think things through on how you can do things cheaper.

Hope you all have a great week and are having great savings yourself. If you've saved money, and would like to brag about it, I'd love to hear about it. Please send in your comments, we'd like to read them.

Book Review: Better Homes and Gardens "Cherished Quilts for Babies and Kids"

Friday, April 15, 2011

Review By: Cynthia ( my mom)

Better Homes and Gardens Cherished Quilts for Babies and Kids, is a great book of qulit patterns from babies to teens. The colorful photos are very inspiring, so many awesome designs to sew and quilt! I love the "Cozy Up" quilt with big blocks, so easy, but a pretty quilt. I would love one of these for my bedroom.....this one is done in greens with some brown and blue, but the color combinations are endless and would look equally striking. Very modern. Not only are there quilt patterns in this neat book, but also pillowcase patterns, aprons, bibs, pillows and a backpack.
"Oh, Boy!" is another easy, cute quilt, this one for babies, which is done in bright colors. It uses fat eighths, and fat quarters.
This book has spiral binding, which is ideal when you are working on a project, no bending your pages. It also has a pretty cardboard envelope filled with patterns which is attached to the inside of the book. This book gives you a great amount of variety, the quilts are awesome. It is a book well worth buying. I know you'll love it as much as I do.....it will be hard to decide which quilt to make next. I forgot to mention the last chapter has quilting basics, if you have to brush up on how to attach a binding, sew on a applique the information is there. A beautiful book!

There's More To Easter Than The Chocolate

Thursday, April 14, 2011

It is often the case we forget the importance of certain holidays, as for Easter we are overly consumed with chocolate bunnies and jelly beans that we forget to celebrate what really matters. As Easter approaches this year take the time to enjoy the true spirit of the season. Since Easter is a religious holiday remember the importance of attending church services and educating your children on why we celebrate this holiday. There are many Easter related movies directed at children, which can help them learn Christian values and the holiday’s history. While an Easter basket is always a nice surprise for anyone, we should keep in mind that some of the greatest gifts are free or have nothing to do with chocolate. Be sure to make your holiday revolve around the importance of family and friends, and the sacrifices that were made to allow us to celebrate such a beautiful time of year.

Eating Your Treats- Organically

In the past decade or more there has been a move towards organic and more natural foods. Organic fruits and vegetables can been found in just about any grocery store, but what about chocolates and other candies? You are less likely to find organic sweets just in any grocery store, but that does not mean they do not exist. There are several organic specific stores popping up all over the globe, which are sure to carry more natural sweets. Additionally, some of the higher end grocery stores are jumping on board with the organic movement and starting to carry all sorts of organic specific foods. It is being realized that more natural chocolates and other candies, while still containing fats, can be better than candies chalked full of preservatives and other chemicals. And, if you are like me then you have to look for natural foods due to a food intolerance. Regardless of your reasoning behind seeking out more natural candy, I think these types of candies can be better for everyone and taste good too.

Seeds of Change Chocolate-Seeds of Change is all about organic products and takes pride in providing organic chocolate treats!

April is National Woodworking Month

If woodworking is your career or a hobby, April celebrates your passion. The possibilities of woodworking seem endless from furniture to trinkets, whatever your skill level or area of expertise you should take extra pride in your work this month. If you are not involved in woodwork this month offers you a great opportunity to try a new skill, despite the difficulties involved in woodworking you are sure to make something you can be proud of. Or, if you have a woodworker in your life, do something nice for them to show your appreciation for their talent. Maybe there is a new tool they have had their eye on or just a compliment can go a long way.

Finding Free, Fun and Rewarding Entertainment

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

As the walls close in when the weather gets warmer, it may be time to find some entertainment outside the house. When the budget doesn't allow a whole lot of leeway, free entertainment and activities fill the bill quite nicely. Those 'freebie' venues can also offer more than simply no-cost activities: They can present opportunities through which you can make new friends and build or strengthen relationships.

Community Calendars: Local Chambers of Commerce often publish periodic schedules of free concerts, fairs and other local attractions and activities. Call or visit your local Chamber of Commerce office for information regarding what may be available.

Church Activities: Local churches often have activities for parishioners and visitors alike. Some include food drives, visiting the aging or the ill or litter patrols.

Parks: Enjoy the sunshine as you watch a pick-up game of basketball or frisbee. Join in if you can! Bring a few slices of bread and feed the ducks and birds. Stroll along the paths and walkways and let your imagination run freely: Did a knight slay a dragon at the crest of that hill? How deeply into the woods did Robin Hood and his band hide? What battles did the occupants of that tree fort fight and win? Are a spy and her handler having a clandestine meeting in that shadowed copse?

Sports: Sporting events with older participants are possible, but those often require an admission fee. Instead, consider youth sports. Little league baseball and other youth sports often have free admission to the open-access bleachers. Watch the future stars try their best while you remember those good old days when playing meant having fun and not simply improving a win-loss record.

Museums and Zoos: Many museums and zoos have free admission days or request only a small donation. Call those in your area for schedules. Enjoy art exhibits, scientific inventions, cultural heritages and even lunch boxes and yo-yos if you live in the right area. Watch tigers, elephants, monkeys and lemurs in their natural settings. Marvel at the rainbow of colors on the fish and other creatures of the sea.

Employer-Sponsored Events: While they do involve proximity to co-workers and supervisors, employer-sponsored events can extend free entertainment possibilities. Picnics, sponsored sports events you'd otherwise probably not attend, group volunteer activities and dinners represent only a few opportunities that may be available.

Charity Events: Volunteer to work with a local charity. Offer specialized service or general labor. Donating your time and effort can often make a greater difference than a monetary donation. Actually witnessing the benefit you provide by getting directly involved can bring tremendous personal rewards.

Photo Tours: Grab your camera and walk, pedal, ride or drive around your town. Take pictures of things and people that catch your camera's eye. Create a pictorial review of architecture, people and landscapes that many ordinarily overlook in everyday life. The photo of a gnarled tree, bent and twisted from a century of storms and wind, can intrigue the eye and imagination.

If you choose any of these options or discover your own, free entertainment and activities pad any budget and can provide adventures "outside the box"—and off the commercially-beaten path.

Review and Giveaway: Sure Thik- Organic Make Up For Your Thinning Hair

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Hair loss is an embarrassing topic and women make up to forty percent of hair loss sufferers. Commonly mistaken as a “male only” issue, hair loss is often more emotionally stressful for a female. Now there is an “instant makeup for your hair loss” from SureThik.

SureThik Hair Thickening Fibers – a new, all natural product that thickens the appearance of hair with hair building fibers.

- SureThik hair building fibers are completely natural, keratin protein fibers.

- The organic keratin hair building fibers used in the SureThik formula are the same as the keratin protein that makes up human hair.

- SureThik provides instant results and can be used daily.

- The hair thickening fibers bond to the existing hairs on your head to create a fuller, thicker look.

- The difference in density and volume can be seen as soon as the product is applied and won't move until you shampoo your hair, even in wind and rain.

Gerry's hair is thinning on the crown. We tried out the Sure Thik dark brown hair thickening fibers on his crown. It was amazing what it did.It shakes out of a little container, much like a salt and pepper shaker, shaking out fine fibers of what looks like fine hair. It sticks to your hair and actually thickens hair, covering up any thinning spots.

This would be a perfect product for women as well, who have thinning hair.

Sure Thik is available in 8 colors and an economy size SureThik Hair Fibers are every bit as effective as their regular size unit, but is more convenient for those who travel or are on a budget. The 10 Gram bottle will last for 20 days with daily use and costs only $19.95.

Sure Thik would love to give away a container in the color of your choice to one lucky winner from Canada or the USA. A random draw will be held by Random.org on April 22,2011 from all entries recieved.

Review : Rock Candy Life

Rock Candy Media is in the business of making other brands look cool. With their passion for modern design and experience in using green, eco-friendly materials, Rock Candy Life was inevitable.
Founder Annie Jones had the hardest time finding shower curtains she loved, ones that matched her love for modern vintage design and everything mid-century. The idea for Rock Candy Life came about by a desire to create shower curtains for design conscious consumers that weren't willing to go green if it compromised their love of design. When they found out they could create them green without compromising on design, and offer them at accessible prices, Rock Candy Life was born.

I love my new shower curtain from Rocky Candy Life. Usually, I use a cloth curtain, so this is a bit of a change for me. The plastic is very heavy duty and very good quality. The pattern of the Whimsical Birds are a perfect match for my bathroom of green brown and light yellow. They even came with matching shower curtain hooks.

Rock Candy Life proves high-end design and eco-friendly products can co-exist. Their shower curtains are 100% recyclable, chlorine and PVC-free. They do not emit 'off-gasses' as traditional shower curtains do. By eliminating the need for a liner, you decrease waste as well.Your going to love their curtains!
