Review and Giveaway: Gamewright-Sounds Like a Plan game

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

I often avoid playing  games if I know they take too long to play or are too complicated, but the new Sounds Like a Plan game from Gamewright, is neither.

And who is Gamewright?

Gamewright was founded in 1994 by four parents whose kids wanted great games. From the start, our mission has remained clear: Create the highest quality family games with outstanding play-value. Guided by themes and experiences that transcend age and salted with a bit of irreverence, our games are designed to foster laughter, learning, friendship and fun.

About the game:

What's the best plan for climbing Mt. Everest? How about the worst plan for making a million bucks? Find out in this party game that's all about giving outrageous advice! Select a card containing a piece of advice that best fits the judge's chosen activity. Score points if the judge takes your advice, but keep in mind that plans change with the roll of a die… You might have to give out bad advice, your grandma's advice, or even advice from a psychic! Take our advice and play today!

We played this game after supper tonight- and it was very easy to learn, took about half an hour to play  and we had a few laughs from it.Although the box states it is for 4-8 players, we played it with 3.
This game is good for ages 10+. It stimulated our imagination and we had fun with it.

Gamewright would love to give away this very same game to one lucky reader in Canada or the USA on May 17, 2010 from all entries recieved. A random draw will be made using Random.org

  11. We're a spur of the moment family here, though I'd love to get to a point where game night is a weekly, scheduled event.

  19. It's just my daughter and I, and though gaming time is pretty much unplanned, it seems to be happening ALL the time. She learns incredibly well this way, and me, I'm not bored to tears.
