How to Choose An Online Casino Right For You

Sunday, May 31, 2020

There are many online casinos available, and they can be accessed from anywhere you want. An online casino with a good reputation will be secured and will provide various options to the bettors. Most online betting platforms, also have different payment options. This allows you to make withdrawals and deposits easily. But it is necessary to check out a few more characteristics before actually signing up. Listed below are a few points that you should keep in mind when you are deciding which online casino to play at.
Does the online casino have a legal license?
There are many unauthorized online casinos. These are illegal and are very unsafe. They do not provide a secure channel for transactions and do not have a license. You should always choose a casino that is authorized and has a proper license. You can read the Mystino  casino review to know more about it.
Does the casino operate in your country?
Many countries do not grant permission to online casinos to operate. Therefore, you should first find out whether or not the online casino can be accessed from your country. If the online casino is available in your country, then you can easily create an account.
Are there many games available?
Always check what games the casino is offering. While most online casinos offer a set of standard table games and have poker rooms, it is good to have a few more options. Many online casinos also have a sports book, and if you are into sports betting, then you should definitely check that.

How is player-friendly the user interface?
One of the major things about an online casino is, of course, the platform itself. The user interface should have good graphics to indicate the games and options available. The interface should also be very easy to understand, especially for beginners.
Does the casino offer good bonuses and promotions?
A good online casino will have exciting welcome bonuses for new bettors and promotional offers for the existing players. Bonuses and promotions usually come with prerequisites, but they should be reasonable so that bettors can avail of the offers. Make sure to check how good the bonus is or how often promotions are available.
Will the casino provide proper technical support?
Online casinos have to deal with technical glitches from time to time. However, a good online casino will be able to solve most issues within a short period of time. Technical support should be available for all users, round-the-clock.
Does the casino have a mobile app, and is it easy to navigate?
If an online casino has a mobile app, it makes the platform even more accessible. The mobile app should also be easy to use by beginners and experts alike. A reliable mobile app will also not lag frequently and will be available for all mobile devices.
Playing at online casinos can be really fun. There are usually various options to choose from and exciting offers. Reliable online casinos provide great and hassle-free entertainment for their members. So, go through the numerous casino reviews online to find out more about it before making a decision.

A Splash of Paint

Friday, May 29, 2020

Gerry did some cleaning up of the popcorn ceiling in our spare room, and looks so much better. We plan to eventually get rid of all of it throughout the trailer. Some of it actually looks dingy- think it may be dust??

I think we may be keeping the dark brown flooring for now as its throughout alot of the trailer and would be costly to replace again. So not at this point.
We painted the room in two tones of grey. Liked the idea of the doors being a darker shade so going to be doing the same with our bedroom closet doors as well. Helps to break things up.

I do need to get a new desk and a few other room things, but in time, and once we can get to the city to shop. We are a small northern town and are VERY limited for any stores in town, as well as shopping online, as we are considered a remote community, and shipping here most times is not free... although with Wayfair it was when we bought bedroom furniture and a headboard ! Thank you Wayfair!

Old School Ways to Save Money

Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Saving money is tough. Most of us have large outgoings, such as housing and utilities. You might also have mounting debt that needs paying off, and unfortunately, most of us live paycheck to paycheck, never managing to save, or put aside any extra money to cover unexpected expenses or price hikes. Living like this can mean that one bad month is all it takes to see you slip into financial uncertainty. That’s why money-saving tools are so popular. There are countless apps out there offering to help you to save, to manage your money, to balance your books or to clear your debts faster. There are advisers that you can go to, and plenty of modern methods to help you with your finances.

But, that doesn’t mean that the old school ways to save money can’t still be effective. In fact, most of them are so easy that you really shouldn’t be without them. Use new tools, but don’t neglect old school ways to save. Here’s a look at some of the best.

Walking
Image - Unsplash

Walking is one of the best ways that you can save money, and it’ll give you a nice free workout too. You might have wondered if public transport would be cheaper than the associated costs that come with a car, but walking would be even better. Even if you just walked distances less than 30 minutes, and drove the rest of the time, you could save a fortune in fuel and parking.

Couponing

Couponing is a great way to save cash on everything from your weekly grocery shop to big family days out. If you are guilty of picking up or cutting out coupons but then forgetting about them until after they have expired, learn how to organize your coupons to make sure you get the most out of them. Be sure to check magazines, newspapers and online sites for the best coupons, but try not to buy anything that you wouldn’t usually.

Don't forget about online coupons tooSave more with Red Bubble couponsOldNavy coupons, and promo and coupon codes to thousands of other retailers on Swagbucks.

Staying In

Days out with the family are expensive. Even if you take a packed lunch, you might pay for admission, parking, fuel, souvenirs and other extras. Nights out and meals out can be even worse. So, start staying in. Find ways to have fun at home with your kids, and look for great date night recipes that you can make at home.

Putting a Jumper On

Over the winter months, heating can be one of our greatest expenses, but it’s essential. However, by finding alternative ways to heat your home, and taking simple steps like putting a jumper on and closing doors, you could save a fortune.

With a Piggy Bank

Piggy banks are great. Every time you’ve got less than a dollar in your wallet or purse, put the coins in your piggy bank. It soon adds up when you don’t spend them.

Live a Cash-Only Life

There are two ways to live a cash-only life, and you should consider both. The first is to withdraw a set amount of cash from the bank at the start of every week. That’s what you have to spend outside of your bills. Don’t allow yourself to use cards. If you don’t have the cash, you can’t afford it.

The other is to avoid buying with credit. Again, if you can’t afford it there and then, you can’t afford it at all. Get into the habit of saving for what you want, instead of taking credit.

Making a Splash With Bath Bomb Greeting Cards

Saturday, May 23, 2020

My mom recently had the opportunity to review a couple of cool cards from Bath Bomb CardsShe loves sending mail/cards to family and friends.

Mom loved the cards. She used one for herself and said it dissolved nicely, was pleasant smelling, (she had the lavender one), and that she thought the concept was so cool!

Owners Tim and Patrick said: "We noticed that almost 25% of landfill waste comes from paper. Many greeting cards can’t be recycled because of the accessories attached to them. Plus greeting cards are expensive! Some are $10 just to send a message to your loved ones," so they wanted to create a card that had a more positive impact on the environment.

The cards can be bought online off their web site, and wholesale is also available for retail stores. They are also available for many occasions, prices retail, starting at $9.99.

Want to earn some money from your blog? They have an affiliate program too!

The cards really are cool, and sell themselves- and who doesn't love bath bombs!

CBD for ADD & ADHD

Monday, May 18, 2020

For those that don’t already know, CBD is a chemical compound that is derived from cannabis plants. In most cases, CBD products are specifically made from hemp plants, because they contain high levels of CBD and low levels of THC. THC is the chemical compound responsible for the high feeling that is commonly associated with marijuana use. CBD does not have these psychoactive properties, and does not get users high like THC does. CBD products come in many forms, including oils, tinctures, or edibles. Finally, CBD has been rumored to reduce anxiety, a common symptom among those who have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Because CBD is a relatively new in terms of its legality, there is little long-term scientific research regarding the benefits of CBD use for ADD or ADHD patients specifically. However, word of CBD’s potential benefits, and general lack of negative side effects, has been enough to compel some people to try it for their symptoms. The evidence of this is shown by a large number of online testimonials from people who claim to have used CBD to help alleviate their symptoms for a number of conditions.

Generally speaking, about half of the people who have tried CBD for ADD claim some positives with regard to alleviation of their symptoms. They cite that CBD helps them relax, and feel less manic on average. One 2011 study showed that of a group of 24 people with social anxiety disorder, half who took CBD were able to speak in front of a large audience without incident. Another 2017 study looking at CBD oil and ADHD in adults found that the oil improved some symptoms, but also stated that more studies were needed to confirm these findings. Unfortunately, no single research team has studied the effects of CBD oil for ADHD symptoms specifically on a long-term basis. However, there are multiple studies that show CBD works as a natural anxiolytic, and can help promote a sense of calm in users. Thus, there are many patients whose ADHD symptoms improved after adding CBD to their regimen.

While that seems like great news, it should be noted that some people who took CBD for ADD and ADHD symptoms did not report any changes. This is most likely due to the fact that everyone’s physiological makeup is slightly different. Another potential reason for this lack of consistency could be that CBD users have noticed that different brands of CBD oil work differently for them. This is most likely due to the different strains of cannabis that are used in their creation, or the different extraction and processing methods that are used by various companies.

While CBD may potentially benefit some patients with ADHD, it’s extremely important to talk to your doctor or physician before taking CBD, as it may interact with other medications. User should be especially careful if they are on other medications metabolized through the liver, as CBD is metabolized by the same enzyme in the liver that metabolizes many other medicines and supplements.

Technically speaking, one is doing an experiment on oneself by taking CBD for ADHD without the recommendation of a healthcare professional. Still, this won’t stop some adults with ADHD from self-medicating with cannabis. Many people in this category already report a preference for cannabis over their prescription ADHD medications. Even a small number of doctors and psychiatrists in the US prescribe cannabis medication for ADHD, still some ADHD medications have sedating qualities and there may be additive effects that may not be beneficial. However, usually CBD is well tolerated, and any side effects are generally mild.

It is also important to check CBD product labels to ensure you are getting a pure product, and that you are buying from a reputable source. Many CBD companies have lab test results of their products, giving you a breakdown of exactly what’s in it, including any trace elements, usually down the micro-gram.

Regulations have yet to be made regarding CBD products and their health claims to be evaluated. Practically speaking, a lot of mystery still surrounds CBD, including whether consuming it will be detected in a drug test. Read this comprehensive resource to understand other critical information that concerns marijuana.

In conclusion, despite the lack of long term medical research and scientific studies regarding CBD for the treatment of ADHD, there is a vast amount of anecdotal evidence for CBD use in the treatment of ADHD symptoms and numerous other health conditions. Many people are simply seeking relief from their condition any way they can. CBD provides them with a natural, healthy alternative to prescription drugs without the risk of potentially serious negative side effects, and without having to pay exorbitant amounts of money to doctors and pharmaceutical companies. Despite push back from pharmaceutical companies regarding the use of CBD as a relief supplement for various conditions, one need only check a reliable message board such as Reddit to see the real life testimonials of actual people who have used CBD as a treatment method for their conditions with successful results.

The use of CBD as a treatment method for ADHD symptoms or other conditions may not be right for everyone, but if it manages to help even one person, doesn’t it warrant that further study is needed and should be encouraged? As more evidence comes to light, and more people become aware of the potential benefits of CBD and experience it for themselves, the stigma surrounding cannabis based treatments may begin to fade. Time will tell, but based on current trends it might not be long before CBD is a widely accepted treatment method for ADHD and several other conditions as well.

What to Change When You Suffer A Pay Cut

Friday, May 15, 2020

As we’re speeding towards one of the biggest recessions this country has ever seen, we’re all facing job and career uncertainty.

Millions of Americans have been laid off and more have been furloughed. And those who have jobs may be facing pay cuts as the economy worsens. But with all that in mind, it’s less-than-ideal to start a job search during a crisis where so many are already looking for jobs.

During this difficult time, we should remind ourselves that this is all temporary. The economy will bounce back. That’s not up for debate. But what we cannot know is when that comeback will happen.

That’s why it’s important to take care of ourselves now. And if you’ve suffered a pay cut, here are some things you can do to help ensure you can weather the storm.

Evaluate any subscription services

They may not seem like much on their own, but too many subscription services will cost you more than you expect or can afford right now. Make a list of everything you currently pay for on subscription. This includes streaming services like Netflix and Pandora, but it also includes membership programs and access to news through a newspaper or online subscription.

Be sure to check your bank and credit card statements for a full picture. There may be a subscription or two that you’ve forgotten about.

Next, take a hard look at that list and evaluate how often you use each service. There may be some that you can obviously cut off right away (including any you’ve forgotten) and there may be others that you need to think about.

Now, you may also want to take a look at products you have on subscription with online stores like Amazon. Think about whether you really need them as often as you’re getting them, or if you even need them at all.

If this pay cut has you living paycheck to paycheck, a poorly-timed subscription payment can cause your bank to overdraft, which could end up turning what was a convenience into a nightmare.

Look for other income streams

If you’ve experienced an unexpected pay cut, you may be able to offset it (and then some) by adding another stream of income to your life. You can do this by delivering for any number of delivery services or make money online by starting your own blog or business.

Adding to your income in other ways can also help give you some assurance outside of your current employer. It’s empowering to know you can make money outside of your 9-to-5 job, especially in uncertain economic times.

Cut unnecessary spending

Most of us have many expenses that aren’t exactly necessities. If you’re enjoying meal delivery from a service like Hello Fresh, you can probably cut that out and make meals much cheaper at home. Plus, it’ll spark your creativity by planning your meals for the week and getting the perfect amount of groceries.

Now is also a good time to cut spending on any unnecessary clothing and gear. Your entertainment budget may have already been slashed with stay-at-home orders, but look for places you can cut further (and make sure you’re not shopping online like it’s a competitive sport). Unfortunately, this may not be the time to get takeout whenever you have a craving.

Save more (if possible)

Naturally, you’re going to have less money overall when you suffer a pay cut. So putting even more money away may sound ridiculous. And in truth, it’s impossible for many people. But if you can possibly save more than you did previously, this is going to be a wise financial move.

Maybe it’s not as easy as cutting discretionary spending, but if you can shave off anything in your current budget to add to savings, you’ll be better off. Not only will you cut your monthly expenditures, but you’ll have more in the bank for a rainy day. Everyone is uncertain about the future, and even if we’re still employed today, we should all be preparing for the worst.

Reconsider the car payment

If you have one or more care payments, look into other options. If you can trade that car in for a cheaper or older model, it may be a better call. Just be sure you’re getting a car that functions well. You could end up spending more if you buy a car that needs regular maintenance.

And if you are worried about maintenance costs, consider a roadside service like AAA. This is an added expense, but it can keep unexpected repair bills down.

Pay off debt

Although this is a time where we want to save money and hang on to what we have, if you’re in a position where you can pay off any debt while keeping your emergency fund intact, it’s probably a good idea. You may even want to consider using any stimulus money to pay off or pay down debt. Start looking at the lowest bills you have and seeing if you can pay those off first. This will remove a monthly payment, which can give you some room to breathe.

No one wants to hear that they’re getting less money for the same job, but it’s a reality for many people these days. With some lifestyle changes and some luck, we hope to be able to stretch it through until this is all over.

Happy Mother's Day To All Moms Today!

Sunday, May 10, 2020

How are all the moms doing today?

I had one daughter surprise me with very nice flowers that were delivered to the house the other day, and another daughter send me a Walmart e card. (Neither of them live in town.)
Hubby is treating me to supper which we'll have ordered and delivered today. Will be a nice treat since we don't order in very often!

I dropped over to my mom's today (she is 74), and wished her a Happy Mother's Day and brought her a gift bag of "goodies!"

I do hope everyone had a special day today- as best as we can with in these times.

Yesterday's Food Bank Drive

Saturday, May 9, 2020

Our town had a food drive yesterday evening for the local food bank. It was the fire dept. that came out and collected food that was left in bags on your doorstep or front driveway. Was nice to see how they helped the local food bank. We didn't see every neighbor helping, but felt good that we did our part to help others less fortunate.

Today's Quick Tip

If you still have cable, and feel it's too high, look over your bill, and look over your channels. See if there are ones you can do without. After seeing our bill climb again, we re-looked at our channels again, and went from $112 down to $76 for the month!

Seriously?? A Rise in Our Home Owners Policy

Wednesday, May 6, 2020

When I opened my home owner's insurance policy today, I did not expect to see such an increase.

I got on the phone right away to see what was up, and in the end learnt that since our mobile home was over 30 years old and the company had also increased their rates, they now wanted an extra $430 for the year! So the rate went up from $881.62- $1307.74 !

We weren't gonna go for that at all . Options to get it lower was to raise deductible- and it was alot, or to value our mobile home at $30,000 less if there was a fire.

I went with the de-valuing to save us $400 a year.
