And Now We Have Two!

And now we have two!

So we had started renovating the rv we had showed you all last time....and realized it was just too small for us so we decided to hault the renovations and look for another bigger one. We found another at a nice price that was decent for us..but still stuck with number 1. The first one was a 24 foot and the new one is 28.

Despite the sweet deal we got with the first one, we still needed to put $6,000 into it to get it to something decent and reliable. End of season now though and we are still trying to sell.  We have added a bit onto the selling price for the 2 months of labor Gerry did on it..but no luck yet. Planning a trip out of town in a couple of days though with the second one. It didn't need as much work done to it.. and some things are cosmetic and can wait. We're planning a trip into the USA for some shopping..( Walmart USA LOL) but also see the exchange rate is $1.35 for us so don't think it will be too far into the USA with those rates. It's been almost a year since we were there last, when we went as far as Kentucky and changed our minds- didn't stay the winter- and came home.

Our daughter is also back staying with us now again. Moved from back home. She has a room in the basement but unfortunately the spiders also like to live there so we are doing our best to keep them away! And it's colder there.. but its not a dungeon lol.  Has a separate bath, living area and fireplace .

A few more days and it's our daughter's 1st wedding anniversary, and next month is the new baby boy!

Gerry and I also have health tests to do next month, the bull riding event, motocross event, and a show or two.

Weather has been staying relatively nice...but some leaves are turning yellow in the park..but not too bad. We're still having days where it's really still nice in the afternoon to still wear shorts even.

PBR Canada’s Elite Cup Series Bucks Back to Medicine Hat, Alberta, for Third Time in History Oct. 14

Friday, September 15, 2023

Super excited to hear that for the third time in history, PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada’s elite Cup Series, presented by Wrangler, will be coming to Medicine Hat, Alberta, returning to Co-op Place on October 14 with the PBR Medicine Hat Classic!

Last year we attended our first ever bull riding event and loved it!

For one night only, fans will witness exhilarating 8-second rides and wrecks throughout the action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous bull-riding athletes face off against their 1,800-pound opponents bred to buck.

The Medicine Hat event will mark the eighth event of the 10-event 2023 season for the PBR Canada Cup Series, presented by Wrangler. Prior to travelling to the Alberta city, the Cup Series will visit seven towns across the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

Last season in Grande Prairie, Brock Radford (De Winton, Alberta) went a perfect 2-for-2 to win the PBR Medicine Hat Classic, and surge to No. 3 in the heated battle to be crowned the 2022 PBR Canada Champion.

Radford got off to an electric start in Round 1, delivering the fourth-best score when he conquered Devils Dues (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle/Legend Rodeo Stock) for 84.5 points.

In the championship round, Radford earned his second score when he remained in perfect time with Look At This Dude (Two Bit Bucking Bulls), reaching the requisite 8 for 85 points to clinch the victory.

The golden finish garnered Radford a crucial 65 national points. He surged from No. 7 to No. 3 in the nation, climbing within a mere 40 points of the top spot.

Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta) parlayed his own 2-for-2 effort inside Co-op Place into a runner-up finish, overtaking Logan Biever (Claresholm, Alberta) for the No. 1 rank in the Canadian standings.

The 2018 PBR Canada Rookie of the Year first put points on the board in Round 1 when he covered Super Fly (Eno Bucking Bulls) for 82.5 points.

In the championship round, Tetz covered Bustin Rhymes (X6 Ranch Bucking Cattle/Legend Rodeo Stock) for 86.5 points to win the round and capture the podium finish.

The silver showing garnered Tetz a much-needed 57 national points. After traveling to Medicine Hat No. 2 in Canada, 54.5 points behind the top-ranked rider, Tetz surged to the No. 1 position in the nation.

The event in Medicine Hat contributed to one of the most intense national title races in the Canada’s history. Following a riveting regular season, nine riders traveled to the 2022 PBR Canada National Finals in contention to win the honor and accompanying $50,000 bonus.

Mounting a come-from-behind surge, Tetz emerged the 2022 PBR Canada Champion, surpassing regular-season No. 1 Dakota Buttar (Kindersley, Saskatchewan) and holding off a hard-charging Radford  in the final outs of the season.

When the season ended, Tetz finished 26.5 points ahead of runner-up Radford.

Thus far in 2023, Tetz is on pace to make history as the first rider to win the PBR Canada Championship in consecutive seasons. Courtesy of an event win at the second tour stop of the season in Lethbridge, Alberta, Tetz is No. 2 in Canada, 8 points behind the top position.

Jared Parsonage (Maple Creek, Saskatchewan) currently holds the No. 1 rank in the nation, a position largely earned via his Cup Series event win in Red Deer, Alberta, and a second-place result at the latest tour stop in Lethbridge.

The bull riding action for PBR Canada Cup Series’ Medicine Hat Classic, begins at 7:00 p.m. MDT on Saturday, October 14.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Co-op Place Box Office, and online at Tixx.ca.
