How Used Car Subscriptions Are Making Vehicles More Accessible

Flexible Pre-Owned Leases Let You Order an Affordable Car on Your Phone, Drive it as Long as You Choose

Buying a car at a dealership is one of the most daunting (and annoying) transactions we face as consumers. Between the pushy sales pitch, five-figure price tags, endless haggling, gigantic loans, and hours spent having your finances picked apart in a back office, it’s no wonder that fewer than 1% of us prefer the traditional car-buying process.

Fortunately, flexible pre-owned leases are a new way to get an affordable car, handle the whole process right on your phone, and choose how long you drive it.

Shop by Monthly Payment

When you want to listen to a new song you like, you don’t pay $20 to listen to the entire album. Instead, you subscribe to a streaming service that lets you listen to the exact tune you want for a set monthly fee.

In a similar way, flexible leases – like the ones available on Fair – let you get a pre-owned car for only as long as you want to drive it. You just have to make an upfront down payment, a refundable security deposit and a monthly payment for as long as you choose to keep the car, whether that’s month-to-month, or for 2 or 3 years for an even lower monthly payment.

Mostly Everything is Included
A flexible pre-owned lease from Fair includes almost everything you need to drive, including routine maintenance, roadside assistance & even a limited warranty. That adds up to two free oil changes per year, plus other along-the-way perks like tire rotations. And if you plan to put your Fair car to heavy use, you can add additional miles and extra wear & tear protection right in the app and simply lump it in with your monthly payment.

Pre-Owned Cars Have Never Been Better

Today’s pre-owned cars are almost indistinguishable from their brand-new counterparts – and cost much, much less, on average. Whereas a new car costs an average of $37,000, according to Kelley Blue Book, the average used car price is around $20,000.

And the best part about flexible used-car leases is that you can now access one without even having to take out a loan at all.

Get a Car Without Leaving Your House

The average consumer spends weeks researching what car to buy and another three and-a-half hours haggling and signing paperwork at the dealership. With a used car subscription from a provider like Fair, you can go from swipe to drive all in an afternoon without ever even seeing a salesperson or dealership back room. They can even deliver your car directly to you for free.

You can browse the cars by brand, location or monthly payment, and even save your favorites to a personalized list by tapping the heart icon next to it. You can get approved in-app, decide how long you want to drive it, then simply sign for the car you want with your finger.

In short, a used car subscription is the smartest way to get the smartest cars. Here’s how to learn more at Fair.com and see the cars available in your area.

The Re-Decorating Continues- Hall and Laundry-room

Tuesday, July 28, 2020

Gerry has been busy when not cutting lawns, stripping all the popcorn off the ceilings, fixing the cracks , (our home shifts alot during the seasons), and re-painting walls. The popcorn removal he said was the biggest job- lots of work!

The Re-Decorating Continues- In The Kitchen

Gerry has been busy painting the place- room by room, from beige to shades of grey, so we are a bit "unfinished " in here right now.

Sold our old table and chair set a few weeks ago and got $150 for the set.(See in the photo below)- and excuse the mess- we are re-decorating. LOL

Daughter came from out of town to stay with us for a bit and set up this small card table, and a mix of indoor and outdoor chairs, while we waited for the new set to arrive from Wayfair.

She likes using the kitchen table for her sewing and we all use it as well for eating meals at. I am not too sure about the white top on it and worried it may get scratched up so may get some place-mats for it, but it's very modern looking. What do you all think?

Dump Find Repair

Saturday, July 25, 2020

Gerry found a ladder at the dump that had been thrown away because of a few screws missing on it.

He replaced the missing screws with some sturdier bolts to hold it together, and good as new!

Jakey is Loving His Open Farm Pet Food

Thursday, July 23, 2020

Most of us like to try and eat healthy right? I know we do. We aren't 100 % perfect but we feel good when we know we're eating healthy food.

Now, don't you think it's just as equally great if we can also feed our pets healthy? I know we feel good knowing Jakey (our 9 year old Yorkie) is eating "good for him food."

Recently hearing about a Toronto-based family businessOpen Farm Pet Food, we decided to give them a try.

We saw that Open Farm Pet Food created Gently Cooked products.

Their Gently Cooked varieties leave your dog wagging their tail for more-guaranteed!

The line up includes: Homestead Turkey, Grass-Fed Beef, Harvest Chicken and Surf & Turf, providing optimal taste that is sustainably sourced, human grade, transparent and only the best.

Jakey LOVES their Surf & Turf Freeze Dried Dog Food. He can't get enough of it, and he is fussy!

I think we'll have to try more of their freeze dried flavors!

He also tried the 100% Grass Fed Beef Dry Dog Food. He likes it too but is more loving the freeze dried of the two we got.

I think all dogs will have their own preferences with food...

But something else to note- is that they also carry food for cats too.

And after a good meal.. well that always deserves the old- "I'm full" and time to lay down!

Healthy pet food- ethically raised and sourced. Open Farm is a family-run business where they know that the best ingredients are grown and raised by farmers who respect the land they call home and the animals under their care.

Importance of Using RNG to Create Lotteries

Wednesday, July 22, 2020

Occasionally, using specific numbers with sentimental value may not enhance your chances of winning in an online lottery. Many consider their lucky numbers as those that represent special occasions such as their birthdays. However, these numbers rarely deliver a win. Come RNG. You might want to understand what the technology entails. Well, the initials RNG stand for Random Number Generators. RNG technology randomly delivers numbers. Technologies like EuroMillions RNG lottery have seen many people win massive amounts of prizes in virtual casinos. Keep reading to find out why this technology is critical in online lotteries.

What exactly is an RNG?

The RNG device is a tangible tool or software that applies complex mathematics to deliver random numbers. Although there are multiple programs in the market, online casinos use pseudo RNGs. The pseudo RNG operates uniquely as they don’t require outside information when delivering results. Additionally, the RNG program applies a pre-set algorithm and specific seed value to provide the winning numbers.

The RNG has two parts: the seed value and an algorithm. The seed value is the point at which the procedure starts. Figures for the seed value are generated from various sources and ensure that all draws are originated from random locations, and nobody has can guess what happens ahead of time.

The seed value generated is entered into RNG, which then applies complex mathematics to draw winning numbers.

What’s the importance of RNG?

The technique is critical in the online lottery because it helps a bettor acquire a random figure before proceeding with a game. Audited RNGs assure bettors of fairness in the game and that if they are winning, they’ll receive lottery winnings.

Reliability of RNG

A reliable RNG has undergone testing by a third-party professional. The expert report indicates whether the RNG is truly random. At the point when the software begins working, it must pass through an integrity check. The check ensures that there are no alterations on the RNG that can affect the draw outcomes.

The online casinos that operate legally must have a certificate of RNG compliance from specific bodies. The document is proof that the online lottery has passed the integrity test and assures punters of winning payouts.

Top-notch casinos have an icon of the auditors on their platforms. Such sites do not capture the scanned copies of the auditor results as a precaution to avoid hacking of their websites by fraudsters.

The RNG can be bought from legit suppliers. Their price depends on multiple factors, including the simplicity or complexity of the casino matches.

Conclusion

Before putting your hard-earned money on online lotteries, it’s critical to evaluate whether the website is legit. One of the tactics that you can use when assessing the validity of a virtual casino is RNG. High-class casinos have their RNGs tested and audited by independent professionals. They indicate the type of RNGs they use and the experts who check the devices. The certificate of RNG test has essential information that can assist you in making a decision whether to play in a specific casino or not.

Dump Find To Fix Microwave

Sunday, July 19, 2020

Our turn table motor in the RV microwave, died on us.
So Gerry decided to check at the dump on any old microwaves, to grab another motor from one, hoping it would fit. Found a microwave and found a good working motor inside..
Although it was a small savings only ( $10) - it was good to fix it without having to buy a piece for it.

7 Things To Consider When Starting A New Exercise Routine

Friday, July 17, 2020

If you're thinking of starting a new exercise routine but you're unsure where to start then don't worry, you have definitely come to the right place. With so many incredible ways to exercise and build a routine, it's important you're doing what you can to put together something that is right for you. From setting yourself goals to finding a personal trainer, the more you're planning before you start the better. With that in mind, here are 7 things to consider when starting a new exercise routine:

- Have You Ever Done Any Exercise Before?

One of the first things you need to consider when it comes to starting a new exercise routine is whether or not you have done any exercise before. If you don’t have any experience then chances are, you’re going to need to start off small. Although it may seem overwhelming as a new starter, there are lots of ways you can ensure you’re putting together a routine that suits you perfectly. From speaking to a professional to doing research online, it can be much easier than you think.

If you have been exercising for a number of years and you want to change your routine, you need to be sure you’re thinking about the things you definitely need to change. Whether that’s adding new exercises or increasing the amount of time you exercise for, the sooner you start thinking about it the better. For a guide to starting a new exercise routine, you can visit this site here.

- What Are Your Goals?

When you’re thinking about the type of routine you’re going to be following, you need to consider your overall fitness goals. Not only will this help you put together a plan that will help you achieve them but it will also show where you need to work the hardest. For tips and tricks when it comes to setting fitness goals, you can visit this site here. No pain, no gain, but you don’t have to suffer and compromise any progress.

- What Do You Enjoy?

Another important thing to consider when it comes to starting a new exercise routine is the type of exercise you enjoy. If you fill your new routine with exercises you hate, chances are you’re not going to be motivated enough to do them. If you put together a routine filled with things you love, you’re going to want to work out each and every day.

- What Areas Do You Need To Focus On?

When it comes to exercise routines you also need to think about the specific areas you need to focus on, especially if you have received physical therapy in the past. If you have experienced musculoskeletal difficulties then you need to be sure you’re taking them into consideration. Whether that means adapting your routine or taking the time to rebuilt specific areas of your body, it’s definitely not something you can ignore.

- Do You Need Professional Advice?

If you are worried about putting together a suitable exercise routine then you might want to consider speaking to a professional. Whether this means speaking to a personal trainer or your doctor, you need to be sure you’re not pushing yourself to something your body can’t do. Although personal trainers can be expensive, they’re often the best way to come up with a routine that not only benefits you but you enjoy too.

- Will You Be Going To The Gym?

Another important thing to consider is whether or not you’re going to be going to the gym. Whilst it isn’t essential, having a routine that involves going to the gym is a great way to keep yourself motivated as you’ll have absolutely everything you need there. Working out can be expensive if you have to buy your own equipment so if you want to cut costs, signing up to your local gym might be the best option.

- Do You Need To Buy Any Equipment?

Finally, you need to think about whether or not you need to purchase any equipment to support your new routine. From new work out clothes and a water bottle to weights and yoga mats, you need to think about what you’re going to need in order to stick to your routine. Although it may be expensive at first, at least you’ll have everything you need moving forward.

Gaming The System: How Anybody Can Save Money Shopping Online

With Christmas out of the way, it’s prime time for online shopping bargains. But making sure that you’re saving money online isn't always as straightforward as you might think. Here’s how to game the system and bag the very best deals.

Google The Product ID

Just because you’ve found the product you want at a reasonable price doesn’t mean that you’ve found the lowest price on the internet. Yes, you might be in a discount store, but you’d be surprised just how much the price of a particular item varies from retailer to retailer. Go on the shopping search engine and type in the product name or ID. Then select “price: low to high.” The first result should be the cheapest instance of the product, although sometimes you end up with something a little different to what you want. Just look for the first product that matches your specifications and grab it.

Get Discount Codes And Catalogs

Retailers know that they can get business from savvy shoppers if they have the option to enter a discount code. Most people will pass these codes by without even thinking about searching for the codes online, but savvy shoppers never miss a trick. If a retailer gives you the option to enter a discount code, the chances are that the code is available out there on the internet somewhere, waiting to be found in a forum or a blog. Search for the code and try your luck: you could bag yourself a bargain. Remember, retailers often cycle their codes, so try a few before you give up entirely.  Custom writing services also give discounts for students, so you can buy an essay quite cheaply.

Retailers also like to advertise the fact that they are offering discounts through online catalogs. Publications, including Carmel Catalog, give budget-conscious shoppers the opportunity to find discounts that aren’t always available in-store. Here you can find money off things like women’s underwear and clothing for going out.

Add Items To Your Shopping Cart, Then Abandon It

Adding items to your shopping cart and then abandoning it is one of the best ways to get the attention of an online retailer. Many retailers are desperate to improve what they call “conversions” which is the proportion of people who come to their site and actually buy something. Because of this, they’re often keen to offer deals to people who thought about making a purchase but didn’t in the end for whatever reason. The retailer knows that these people are interested in the product and that they are familiar with their brand, so they will often try to coax customers back to complete the sale with special offers.

This is how bargain hunters can game the system. Abandoning the cart will often prompt the retailer to get in touch with you by email. Often they’ll say something like “you’ve still got items in your basket” followed by “if you checkout in the next 24 hours, you’ll save 10 percent.”

This is a great tactic if you don’t need something immediately. Just plop the items in your basket and wait a couple of days for the follow up email to arrive.

And one we like is to save money too with is sites like Giving Assisstant where you can find the Giving Assisstant Button and get Cash Back Alerts!

Buy on the Resale Market-

There are a lot of things you can buy on the online resale market at significant discounts that don’t necessarily feel used. For example, you can buy resale video game cd keys legitimately online for a fraction of the price you’d pay for the retail version of the game in a store. You won’t get the fancy packaging, but your game will work exactly the same as the retail version.

Also check out borrowing and lending here: https://fatlama.com

You can also buy a Wyndham timeshare on the secondary resale market for as little as $1. These timeshares would cost about $10,000 if purchased through a resort directly. A “used” timeshare is just about the same thing as a retail timeshare, but costs about 50 – 90% less. Some resort developers put a few minor restrictions on resale timeshares due to the significant cost savings, but these restrictions never outweigh the benefits of buying resale over retail. When you no longer wish to own the timeshare simply perform a timeshare exit.

9 Tips to Get Over Your Financial Stress Right Now By Dr. Alok Trivedi

Thursday, July 9, 2020

Many people are finding themselves stressed about money right now more than ever. Maybe you lost your job or your company cut your hours or pay in response to the COVID pandemic. Even before the corona virus, money has always been one of the major anxiety triggers for so many of us. The good news, however, is there are some positive steps you can take to better your relationship with money and reduce your stress.

Here are nine ways to do it.

Stop focusing on Lambos, mansions and yachts

You’ve probably seen the Facebook ads or heard the gurus who tell you to have big dreams of the fancy sports car or big house. Unfortunately, all this does is leave us feeling depressed focusing on the things we don’t have and may never acquire. You can dream as big as you want, but know how to separate fantasy from reality. The abundance mentality is fake because the brain and science don’t work on abundance.

Play your own game

When financial stress kicks in, it’s easy to start looking at those around you and comparing their financial situations to yours. Don’t do this because all it’s going to do is make you envious of other people when in reality, you have no idea of what someone else’s situation is. Just because people look like they have their act together doesn’t mean they really do, and this is especially true with money.

Have an outlet

Financial stress can take a devastating toll on the body and our physical health. That’s why, like with any form of stress, it’s imperative to have an outlet to reduce that stress. It can be exercise, meditation, talking about it, engaging in activities that occupy your mind so you’re not always thinking about money or whatever it is that brings you solace.

Make a plan

One of the best ways to relive financial stress is to make a plan to do something about your finances. If you aren’t where you need to be financially and you’re always short on money, what steps can you take to change your financial picture? Sitting around isn’t an option. Finding ways to minimize expenses and maximize profits is the only answer. Even if it takes you a little time to get this right, just working toward perfecting this can help you feel better.

Focus on manageable financial goals

If you are $50,000 in debt, trying to figure out how to payoff that entire $50,000 is going to leave you feeling pretty miserable and deflated. Instead, break it down into more manageable figures, whatever that looks like for you. Maybe it’s $5,000 or $10,000 increments at a time, for example. Same with earning. If you only make $40,000 a year, telling yourself that you will become a millionaire next year is probably unrealistic and will make things worse.

Avoid making rash decisions

When stress gets the best of us and gets us emotionally worked up, it’s easy to make quick decisions about spending, saving and debt management without giving things much thought. The problem is, when we don’t think, we usually make irresponsible decisions. Next time you are faced with an important financial decision, make sure you are in the right frame of mind and don’t let your stress allow you to make irrational decisions.

Deal with it quickly and effectively

Financial stress will lead to all kinds of mental and physical health problems. The best advice: deal with it quickly and effectively. Stress doesn’t just disappear by itself. In fact, it will get worse if not dealt with overtime. Deal with the problem head-on, find solutions and focus on things that relieve your stress, improve your health and make you feel good.

Use negative thinking to your advantage

Many of us are easily consumed by negative thinking when it comes to money. Instead of letting it get the best of you, use it to your advantage to motivate you into action. Use it to make sure you stay risk averse and manage your losses so you don’t lose out on a financial future that will make you secure.

Bet on the only white horse—You

The only person you should depend on is you. Hold yourself accountable for your own financial results. That doesn’t mean you can’t seek the input of others along the way; and in fact, you should reach out to experts who can guide you along the way. In the end, however, it’s up to you and only you.

The takeaway

Money isn’t everything, but it certainly plays a major role in our lives. Many times it can feel like an uphill battle trying to get it right. Make sure you’re taking the steps to reduce your financial stress because eventually it will have a direct impact on your mental and physical health. Like anything else in life, money may be a challenge and overwhelming at first. You have the power to take control of your finances, reduce your worry and feel better about things.
