They may look like snow covered mountains but they aren't. The light hit the mountains this morning with just the right light to make them look snow covered.
Welcome Kellogg's Banana Crème Frosted Flakes and Honey Nut Frosted Flakes!
Saturday, December 29, 2018
Review by: Gerry
January is set to ring in not only the new year but two more great cereal flavors for those of you who love Kellogg's Frosted Flakes and for those who love to try new cereal flavors.
Gerry had the opportunity to try the new Kellogg's Banana Creme Frosted Flakes and the Honey Nut Frosted Flakes. He loves his cereals and eats them a few days of the week.
He loved the fact that both cereals stayed crunchy while they were sitting in the milk, and loved the new flavors too!
Kellogg's Banana Creme Frosted Flakes had a true banana flavor and the Honey Nut Frosted Flakes had a perfect blend of real honey and nuts.
They are two great new ones to try !
Even Arizona Gets Cold!
Been cool the past week but even Arizona cools down a bit for the "winter". Been running the furnace in evening and in mornings. Today wasn't even one degree this morning when I got up.
Must be a bit rough for those living out of their cars like this guy near us:
Had some bad luck and my lap top died. Took it to Staples for a free look at and they said the CPU fan quit and it couldn't be replaced. But they said we could take it somewhere else for a second opinion.
That second opinion costed me $25 + tax USD. They said it could be replaced and it was the fan yes, but would cost me $140 plus install and a week's wait. So I decided to just go to Walmart and get another one. Ended up paying $199 + tax USD= $300!
But I have a working lap top now, and Gerry has been looking at the other one. He's a very DIY type of guy, and already had it start up, so getting somewhere!
Its been rough on the pocket book with our Canadian dollar taking the hit. It's been going up and down and up and down while we've been here, especially in the last few weeks with the stock market taking hits. Not much one can do though.. but complain LOL

4 New Money Making Schemes to Try in the New Year
Friday, December 28, 2018
As the New Year creeps closer and closer you are trying to think of ways to make a little extra money on the side. You might have had a very expensive Christmas full of presents and holidays you couldn’t really afford. Like most people out there, making that extra bit of money in the New Year would help you to kick start 2019 in a positive way. If you’re a bit stumped for ideas at the moment, there are so many different things you can try out for the very first time. From trading to teaching, your extra income isn’t going to be as hard to obtain as you might think.
1. Trading
If you have never thought about the big wide world of trading before then now might just be the perfect time to start exploring. Forex trading is a huge market and billions are traded in foreign exchange on a daily basis. Spend some time researching the best forex brokers in the USA; even if you are an absolute beginner you will soon be able to find the best path for you.
2. Blogging
You will probably already know by now that blogging is big business. If you can find a popular niche topic that you can write about regularly you will soon be able to start making money from your blog. Make sure you are truly passionate about the subject matter you choose to talk about. If you don’t have the willpower to keep discussing new topics and creating new content your blog idea will quickly fall flat.
3. Selling
If you consider yourself to be a bit of a business minded person, then becoming a seller might just be the ticket for you. Whether you’re buying goods on a wholesale basis and selling them on for a profit or you’re creating your own innovative ideas and selling them to the public, there are so many different options available. Start by setting up a website with your own individual domain name and then you will be able to get started with your new venture.
4. Teaching
If you’ve got a special skill or talent that might be of interest to someone else, why not teach them? You can use your knowledge to impart your wisdom onto others in exchange for a competitive fee. Whether you’re a tech wizard, a clever handyman or a talented musician there are so many ways to share your skills for money or as a part time business on the side.
Instead of surviving off minimum cash as the New Year comes in, you can enjoy a whole load of extra money coming your way. If you’re willing to give something new a try then what are you waiting for? 2019 should be all about stepping out of your comfort zone and throwing yourself into the deep end. As soon as you have landed on a successful idea or strategy you will be glad you went that extra mile sooner rather than later.
Do I Have To Renew My EIN for a Nonprofit Yearly?
Thursday, December 27, 2018
Once a charitable organization is awarded an employer
identification number, or EIN, there is no need to renew this application. The
only reason a nonprofit would be required to submit a new application for a
different EIN is if its organizational structure, mission or nonprofit status changed.
Employer Identification Number Vs. Tax-Exempt Status
It’s easy to confuse an organization’s EIN with the approval of
501 (c)(3) or 501 (c)(4) tax-exempt status from the IRS. What is the
difference?
·
IRS-EIN-Tax-ID:
Your
organization’s EIN, or tax ID number, is similar to the social security number
of an individual. Its purpose is simply to identify the organization with the
IRS. This is number used on annual report filings.
·
501 (c)(3)
tax-exempt status: When a charitable organization’s request for
tax-exempt status is approved, the IRS simply sends a type of confirmation called
a determination letter. Your nonprofit will continue operating normally, using
the same EIN, but now it is considered tax-exempt by the IRS.
Like the EIN, once a nonprofit receives a 501 (c)(3) or 501 (c)(4)
designation, they do not need to apply for it again in the future, unless the
type or structure of the organization changes.
When To Apply For an EIN Number Wisconsin
How should a charitable organization in
Wisconsin go about getting an EIN number
nonprofit and tax-exempt status? The first step is to choose the
organization’s directors. Once you have selected at least three directors, you
can take the next steps:
·
Register a name for the
organization
·
File articles of organization
for nonprofits
·
Fill out an application for EIN
with the IRS
·
Apply for tax-exempt status
using IRS form 1023
Do You Need Additional Help Securing a Tax ID Number?
The only thing most nonprofits are required to file annually is
the 990 or 990-EZ annual information return. You will need an EIN to submit
this documentation. To streamline the application process and have access to
valuable help, contact the professionals at IRS EIN Tax ID Filing Service right
away.

The Gift You Give Yourself- "Bucket List Adventures" by Annette White
Friday, December 21, 2018
I was so excited when Annette's book- Bucket List Adventures arrived in the mail.
On our own site we love to travel, see and do new things, and are always on the look out for ways to get more out of life. Follow your dreams now- and like the saying goes, "Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today!"
I have followed Annette's site for over a year already, and love following her on Facebook as well, keeping up to date on what her or her and her husband Peter are up to!
In her wonderfully written book she talks about living out your dreams.
The 352 page book is easy reading, colorful and a hard to put down one. One I'll truly be keeping forever- and not only because it's autographed -LOL- but because it's one you want to use as a reference book, to read through over and over.
Annette loves life and she encourages others to use theirs to their fullest!
Her book is a great gift to give to yourself this holiday season. I guarantee your going to love it! You can Look Inside the Book on Amazon and see what I'm talking about! Then you can order right from the same page. Merry Christmas to YOU!

Keeping Your Big Vehicle In Great Health Throughout The Winter Season
The winter season is now in full swing, and it presents greater challenges for motorists than any other time of the year. This is especially true when you drive a bigger vehicle. When coupled with the fact that you’ll be far more likely to drive to places than walk, it’s vital that you take control of the situation ASAP.
If you are going to give your vehicle the TLC it deserves, it’s vital that you cove every angle. Here’s all you need to know.
Make It Safe
Safety behind the wheel should always be your priority but is particularly pertinent in the adverse weather. Whether driving a truck, van, or RV, there are several issues to consider. The wheels and tires, fluid levels, and suspension are all among the crucial elements. Likewise, you should always pay attention to the dashboard alters.
Nothing you do will keep you 100% safe on the road. You may still need the help of experts like Gray and White Law truck accident lawyers from time to time. Nonetheless, those regular maintenance tips should keep you away from unnecessary trouble. This should allow you to use the roads with confidence.
Focus On Performance
The vehicle needs to be at optimum performance during the winter months. Feeding your RV with the right stuff can go a long way to keeping it in purring condition. In truth, you should aim to do the same with any vehicle. Even the smallest additions, like antifreeze, can transform the performance of the vehicle for the better.
Many additional steps can be taken to boost the performance. A cold air intake, new oil pan, upgraded bushings, and better springs will all help. All drivers have their unique preferences. Be sure to follow yours while respecting the conditions of winter and you won’t go far wrong.
Invest In Your Driving
It’s important to remember that the above steps are only worthwhile if you are a competent driver. Knowing how to handle the car with greater control and confidence can only be a good thing. NSC approved advanced driving school instructors could be your greatest weapon. It’s never too late to become a better driver, and it will give you more confidence.
Moreover, smarter driving habits will help protect your vehicle as you’ll put it under far less strain over the coming weeks and months. The benefits can be felt throughout winter and beyond. Finally, if you do ever come to sell the vehicle, the better care should enable you to fetch more money for it.
Make It Comfortable
In addition to safety and performance, you need to embrace a positive relationship with the vehicle. Larger vehicles such as SUVs have the potential to be very comfortable, but only if you pay special attention to the various features. New seat covers and upholstery upgrades such as cup holders can make a world of difference with instant results.
Simple tech additions such as parking sensors, a dash cam, and Bluetooth speakers can all work wonders. Parents may also want to consider in-vehicle DVD players to keep the children entertained on long journeys. The additions may not directly impact the health of the car. Still, a strong relationship with the vehicle will encourage you to take greater care.

Need A Bit Of Money For New Year?
The New Year can be an expensive period for anyone living through it. You’ve just had Christmas, you’ve blown a lot of cash on the Boxing Day sales, and now you’re biting your lip over what January 1st will bring you in terms of bills. The festive season can be a very easy time to lose yourself in, so it’s no wonder you’ve spent a lot of money in the run up to this time of year, and no one can blame you! But let’s make sure you’re not worrying holes in your lips, and think about the steps you could take next.
Padding out your income, especially during such a slow business time, can seem hard - but it isn’t impossible. If you’re someone in need of a bit of extra cash for the upcoming year, that’s less than a month away, this post is here to help. After all, there’s plenty of ways to make money quickly, but you’re going to want to invest your time and interest in the most fun and rewarding ways to do so. So here’s a few suggestions for your evaluation.
Celebrations like this don’t pay for themselves! (Source)
Collect Up All Your Receipts
You’ve been spending a lot over the past month or so, and you’ve probably still got some receipts backdate from November or so… well, now’s the time to put these to good use! Your receipts can make you a bit of extra money on the side these days, as long as you keep them safe, and download the relevant apps that can reward you simply for spending and retaining proof of purchase.
So, what apps out there reward you for this very simple activity? Well, there's quite a few, so feel free to try a few at once. Of course, the most crooned about online is Receipt Hog, so they’ll probably be your first port of call - but there’s some varying reviews over this service. So branch out to other apps like Ibotta, which can earn you some easy cash back at quite a few stores around the country, and you can even purchase through the app to earn some easy rewards in considerable amounts!
Put In Some Extra Hours
Sure, you may not want to work around the New Year season, but your bank account certainly wants you to! You’ve spent a lot of money before now, and you’re noticing even your savings account looking thinner than usual, so you’re definitely going to need to pack in some extra hours. Of course, you don’t have to work New Year’s Day if you manage to book it off in time, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use the five days after Christmas to really bring home the bacon!
Thankfully, these are busy times of the year, due to all the sales available, so you’ll be able to grab a bit more time at work. Extra hours always mean extra money, and all in all, it’s the only reliable way for you to bring an actual income on a regular basis. So make sure you put all your extra effort in to the after festive season, and even stay on an hour or so extra at the end of your normal shifts to make sure you’ve really got the money for a big celebration next year!
Head Online for Some Fast Options
If the above two options don’t sound like much to you, it’s time to turn to the rest of the internet. After all, there’s many different and varied ways to make money online, and you’re going to want to invest a bit of time and effort into them to make sure you get a big payout just in time for the big day.
Maybe you could try a site like Slotathon.com, or maybe you could use a search engine extension that will pay you for certain keywords you tap in and then click on the ads for? Or maybe you could start filling in some surveys, and fill in at least ten or so per day to really maximize your funds here? Maybe you could use some cashback programs for whenever you shop online, and you’re probably going to be doing a lot of shopping during these sales coming up!
Ready to Make Some Extra Money?
It can feel a bit daunting at first, but there’s plenty of ways you can make money; you just need to find a way you’re comfortable with! Take the time now to research.
