My Journey as a Blogger – A Brief Insight

I started as a blogger to pen my ideas, experience, and thoughts in a meaningful way while sharing the same with the world. Blogging became a passion soon after I started because it helped me engage with the readers, get feedback, exchange ideas, and network with other bloggers and peers. When I started around 12 years or so back, my blog looked nothing like this, and I had no clue how to edit the posts, leave aside trying to make my blog look attractive or appealing to the target audience. However, I never compromised upon the message I want to deliver across to the readers. I blog to share my knowledge and experiences and provide value to the target audience. 

There is no doubt about the fact that I have improved drastically over the years. I have learned a few tricks of the trade on the way, which includes marketing my blog effectively, reaching out to a larger audience, creating social media marketing funnels, and using my authority on thrifty living to share instrumental financial and lifestyle tips with my audience. When I started as a blogger, it was more of a passion, and never knew it would take me this far. 

But it has, and it has continued to open doors to newer possibilities and opportunities that I didn’t even know existed,  including affiliate partnerships and marketing. I shifted to a better platform, got my blog redesigned, gained authority on search engines in my target niche, and continue to witness a massive increase in traffic. Three things that have helped me on the way are patience, perseverance, and constantly upgrading my knowledge about blogging. Learning is a never-ending process and since it interests me, I never really felt worked up. It is why people say turn your passion into an occupation, and you never really have to work a day in your life. 

I saved money from my primary income initially to fuel my growth as a blogger. I didn’t spend extravagantly or unnecessarily on luxuries of life that many of my friends indulged in and often even had to compromise that movie-night or party-night. But, it is worth it when you notice a gradual increase in traffic to your blog day after day, and more clicks on the ads on your blog. It is not only financially rewarding but also provides a sense of satisfaction that is inexplicable in words. Undoubtedly, it takes time to achieve that sweet success, and though it might seem easy at the outset, there is a lot that continues to happen in the background that contributes to it. 

My blog has become one of the go-to blogs on lifestyle and finance niche, and I have become an influencer marketer blogger in the process. The journey as a blogger started as a passion but has now turned into a full-fledged day job that has allowed me to spend more time with my family while doing what I want to do. With that said, I don’t take my success for granted and continue to put in the equal effort or more today than I used to 12 years back. I continue to live within my means, prefer saving before spending, and make it a point to stay within my budget. Luggage Worth Bragging About! The Heys ECO Orbis

Has anyone else noticed that your luggage never gets returned in the same condition it was in when you brought it to the airport?? After a 2 day/3 flight trip back to Canada from Roatan, I woke up the next morning to unpack my suitcase only to find that the zipper was busted; teeth were broken and pulled away from the fabric sides on one spot. Arrgghh. Heys to the rescue with a wonderful new suitcase called the ECO Orbis. 

 

I had only ever owned traditional style luggage before with the soft canvas body and flip-up zippered lid part. The ECO Orbis is a semi-hard shell, made out of 100% recycled plastic. It is fully lined and opens in half, with an interior divider that buckles closed on one side to keep your items secured. The other side of the suitcase features compression straps to make sure all your gear stays put when traveling. The suitcase features 360 swivel wheels, a telescoping handle, and is considered lightweight at 9.2 LBS. I love unique luggage that you can see immediately while it’s rotating around that airport conveyer belt so I chose the lilac/purple color but it also comes in teal, pewter, blue, and black.  The geometric circle pattern on the outside gives the solid color a trendy look. 

I was able to fit a TON of stuff inside this 26-inch suitcase! As you can see, I tend to stock up on beauty and food products that I cannot buy on my tiny Caribbean island! In case I need a bit more room, the suitcase is expandable by 20% with its zipper release expansion system. How We Brought Back The "Glow" on our RV

Last year while in Arizona, we were approached by a man, while we were parked in a parking lot, who had noticed that our RV had lost it's shine. At the time, it wasn't something that we thought much of. Plus being approached by a random person offering to shine it, wasn't something we felt comfortable with. But after thinking about it a bit more, we looked into connecting with a company called Poli Glow Products. The products they carry are a proven concept for boat or RV polish and not a wax. 

Applying Poly Glow very quickly changed our once dull RV into a shiny looking one that the neighbors soon took notice of.

In addition to a wonderful shine, the Poly Glow withstood a hailstorm we had, with no visible damage.

It was also applied to our headlight covers on the RV, with wonderful results.

Steps to using Poli Glow-

The ideal temperature to apply Poli Glow would be between 55 and 60 degrees, preferably on the warmer side.  When applying the Poli Glow, there are a few essential steps:

1.  Be sure to clean the surface thoroughly with Poli Prep.  Poli Glow is a water-based polymer and has no cleaning agents.  It will seal in whatever dirt or grime that you have on the surface of the RV.

2.  Be sure to apply a minimum of 4-6 coats of Poli Glow.  This is probably the most crucial step in the process.  As you are probably aware, fiberglass is very porous.  The first 2-3 coats of Poli Glow will embed into the pores and seal the surface, and the remaining 2-3 coats will protect and make the surface shine. 

3.  Work in small areas, 3-4 foot sections is good.  Complete that section and then move on to the next section.  Make sure Poli Glow dries entirely between coats; this is why the warmer temperature is so important.

4. Poli Glow will last for about a year, and then it is recommend a maintenance coat.  Possibly 2-3 coats reapplied to a clean surface.  Cleaning the RV will be much easier with Poli Glow on because the surface dirt will wipe right off.  Clean the surface with a mild dish soap.

5. Poli Glow can be removed with Poli Strip.  People worry that once they apply Poli Glow, they won't be able to remove it.  Poli Strip takes it right off!
