Did you know that one
in four dogs dies of cancer? For cats, it’s one in eight.
It’s heartbreaking
for pet lovers – but there is some amazing work being done at the Ontario
Veterinary College and the work being done there is contributing toward better
cancer care for people, since dogs develop many of the same cancers that we
do.
Today, the OVC
launches its ‘Keep Cancer on a Leash’ campaign, sponsored by Purina, to raise awareness (and
fundraising) for this important cause.
