On our next month's vacation west, we'll also be going to Whistler Blackcomb.It is located North of Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
It is one of the largest ski resorts in North America. The ski areas of
Whistler and Blackcomb are situated on two ridge lines running northwest to
southwest. Originally it was two separate ski areas, but they were integrated
into one operation in 1997.
Whistler Blackcomb features the Peak 2 Peak
Gondola, which links the two mountains. The Peak 2 Peak is in the Guinness Book
of World records, it holds the record for the highest and longest unsupported
cable car span in the world.

We had wanted to go see the Whistler Olympic Park while there but it won't be open till July 1st, but we'll go to the Whistler Sliding Centre which will be open. Right now the public areas are open for sightseeing only. I think it will be a cool place to go see. Disappointed though my timing is off for the Olympic Park but not much I can do this time.
Other fun things to do in Whistler? Go to a spa- have a manicure or pedicure, or even walk through Whistler Blackcomb Village.
There are also alot of nice spots for seeing waterfalls as well in the area. Can't wait to see Whistler. I'm sure it will be a wonderful time!
