Today was to be another hot day in California- had a great sleep and stay in our room at the
Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center last night. Here for another day as well. The hotel staff have been friendly and the room very homey. Marriott we love your thick, plush towels, and bathroom accessories. It was nice to have a great sleep in their comfy king sized bed, and our room has extra amenities of home like an iron and ironing board, microwave and fridge! Really, if your going to be travelling, be sure to consider a Marriott!
We've used Visalia as our home base yesterday evening and today, as we drove into Sequoia National Park.
I'm so glad we have seen all 3 of the parks while visiting in this area. Be sure if you plan on a
trip to see Yosemite you also see Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. You won't be disappointed!
Our stops today in Sequoia National Park included:
-The Giant Forest Museum
-Moro Rock,( which we just saw from a distance and decided not to do the 350 stairs + climb-plus missed a turn somewhere to see up close and personal.)
-Tunnel Log ,( fallen sequoia that was tunneled through and you can drive through with a small car)
-General Sherman Tree,( largest tree in the world!)
-and a stop at Wuksachi Lodge and dining at the top of the mountain,( 7200 feet up!)
