Today I decided it would make the most sense to get a National Park Pass. For $80 it's good for a year for the two of us and to see as many National Parks as we want!
Today we drove to the Great Sand Dunnes National Park, near Mosca, Colorado.
The tallest dunes in North America are the centerpiece in a diverse landscape of wetlands, grasslands, forests, alpine lakes and tundra. It can take an hour to walk the top of the dunnes, and yes, people were doing it. But not us!

Beautiful! We would be one of those climbing to the top of them. Haven't seen them yet but one day hope to make it there. We have been to the tallest sand dune in the world though in Namibia but it was way too hot for us to climb to the top. You have to get there early, early in the morning in order to try and beat the hot desert heat. We did get up part way though before coming back down.
ReplyDeleteYep, the National Park pass is definitely worth it if you know that you will be hitting a lot of the parks, and there sure are a lot of them out west!
