I was wondering if anyone can help me out? I made some buns that turned out rather hard and would like to cut them up for croutons. Anyone have a recipe they use that's tasty and simple?
Thank you-
Monique
Heat 3 tablespoons oil, butter or margarine in a heavy medium size skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, thyme, rosemary, seasoned salt, garlic or onion salt, parsley, basil, oregano or any combination of herbs/spices you prefer; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add 4 cups bread cubes to skillet with oil seasoning; toss to coat.
Spread out bread cubes on rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired. Bake in 325°F (165°C) preheated oven, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes making sure they are thoroughly dried and toasted a nice golden brown.
