Sunday was a whole day of travelling. We left Saskatoon at 1 pm and had to be at the airport about an hour and a half before. We had two connecting plane- each 3 hour flights. Got into Orlando at 11:15 pm and for some strange reason there was no one there to drive the bridge over, so everyone was stuck on the plane for an hour before they could finally find someone who could. Like seriously I thought?? The airport is open 24/7 and no one was there. By the time we got our luggage, and were shuttled to the rental car service, it was 1am, and we were both ready to divorce each other! Both of us were cranky and tired.
We finally got to our resort at 2 am and settled at 2:30 am. It was such a long day.
Today was better though. We did some shopping at my favorite store- Eddie Bauer- an outlet store besides- with savings up to 50-70% . I could have stayed there for hours!! Even shopping at Walmart here- most groceries are half price of what we pay back home.
Most of our day was spent at Epcot though- and man were my feet sore at the end of the day. It was so hot too- temps up to 35 degrees today and muggy.
A great part of Epcot is the "World Showcase"- we loved walking from country to country, and seeing world art and culture without being in that actual country. Places such as our own, Canada, as well as Mexico, The United Kingdom,France, Morocco,Japan, Italy,Germany, China, and Norway.
Had hoped to have gotten over to the Animal Kingdom as we did have a Hopper Pass, but my feet did me in. We did however come back in the evening for the 9 pm fireworks show, "Illuminations: Reflections of the Earth." It was absolutely amazing and cooler out! Maybe we should have visited once the sun went down for the day :)
