Fort Stevenson State Park, North Dakota

Thursday, July 13, 2017

Camping, hiking, biking, water activities, Summer fun and so much more can be found in the ND state parks and recreation areas! Parks like Fort Stevenson State Park.

On the north shore of giant Lake Sakakawea, Ft. Stevenson State Park is known as the walleye capital of North Dakota. A favorite spot for sportsmen to experience the great fishing on the lake, it is home to the Governor's Cup Walleye Fishing Derby, as well as a variety of other fishing tournaments.

We'll be heading to Minot once again this weekend, and want to see a bit more beyond Minot this trip out. We have always enjoyed the state parks. They offer great times in the great outdoors, and we love exploring new areas.

Nearby Attractions Include:  the North Dakota Fishing Hall of Fame • Golf Course • Tennis • Power Plant Tours • Broste Rock Museum • White Shield Powwow • and Indian Hills State Recreation Area

Stay tuned.. and we'll be sure to tell you more about our stay next week!
