Gone But Never Forgotten

Thursday, February 4, 2010

My dog Chloe died late last night. I've decided to stay home today from a day of training workshops I was attending.I am just too upset. She had been part of my life for 4 years and Gerry's for 10. We're unsure what happened to her, but she was sick and peeing blood for 3 weeks with no help from antibiotics.
With us by her side last night, I petted her and told her I loved her and prayed for the angels to take her and end her pain.Within half an hour, she was gone.
This post is for Chloe...always in my heart...

  1. I'm so sorry for your loss. I love my dog dearly and I'm dreading the day that she passes. She's 10 and I cherish everyday we have with her. Our dog is truly a family member as it sounds yours was too. I'll pray that you will be feeling better soon.

  6. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Chloe. It's amazing how big a part of our family our animals play in our lives and then when we loose one, it just rips us apart. We lost our 2 dogs last year. One in January and the other in October. Both were rescues and my husband and I felt as those our lives were ripped apart. We did everything possible and after all the x-rays and scans, it turns out both had cancer that was inoperable and we had to let them go. We know they are both pain free now, but it still is very hard not having them greet us when we come home.
Hugs to you and your family

  7. Aw, I am so sorry about your Chloe. I had to euthanize my beloved Sassy cat last April and am still not over it. She had been with me since I was 17 (I'm 30 now). She was my very best friend and truly meant the world to me. I hope you and Gerry are okay... you will both be in my thoughts today.

    hugs,
    Cindy

  13. I'm very sorry to hear about your dog. I have 3 fur babies myself and they are very much a part of our family. I would be completely heart broken to lose one of them. Thoughts are prayers going out for you and your family.
