We stopped for lunch, in the RV, along our way to Indio, Ca., and then parked the RV at the casino parking lot there, unhooked the tow and went to the Shields Date Farm for about an hour.
We had been through Indio last year but never stopped there. There was a wonderful biblical garden there, fruit trees and date trees, as well as a cafe and gift shops. Admission is $5 USD per adult or free if spending $25 to eat or in the gift shop. We chose the $5 each adult entry fee.
After the stop there, and then a stop at Walmart, it was over to Cabazon, Ca. for the night, and a stay at the Morongo Casino lot- with at least another 15+ campers.(free and it has security!)
The weather was very windy today and quite cold- not like what you would expect for California at all! We are hoping to see a better day tomorrow as we head an hour to Anaheim and to visit Disneyland as part of our day.
