Since Whole
Foods is not available to us where we live, its great to visit it on our
travels. In our upcoming trip to Orlando, we will be visiting their Whole Foods
location there. Sometimes eating out all the time while travelling can get pretty
boring which is why whole foods is such a great place to stock up on healthy and
fresh foods which will keep us well fed and happy.
As we re-discover old
favorites and encounter new brands of groceries it will break the monotony of
dining out.
Whole Foods also offers some great tips on: Healthy Snacks for The Theme Parks
Wizards and whales and mice…oh my! Summers in Orlando are full of memory making
moments and an array of meal choices.
From burgers and fries to pizza and sodas finding nutritious snacks can
be a challenge.
Here are a few tips to
keep your family fed without breaking the bank or the diet.
Pack your own snacks. Although coolers are not permitted in most
theme parks, a backpack with snacks is perfectly acceptable. Try stopping by the local Whole Foods Market and
stock up on snacks that are compact and easy to carry. Rather than selecting the usual chips and
candy, opt for more nutrient packed fruits and vegetables that are not only filling,
but will keep you fueled for a long day of fun.
Park Friendly Items:

for a delicious cool treat in the Florida heat)

Stay hydrated. The summer heat in Florida can be brutal, and
staying hydrated is key to keeping the fun going without injury. Be sure to pack several bottles of water in
your bag to drink throughout the day.
For cold water all day long, try freezing a couple bottles over
night. This will guarantee ice cold
water all throughout the day with the added bonus of keeping your other snacks
cool.
A day at the parks doesn’t need to be a
rollercoaster ride of sugars and salts.
With a little pre-park shopping, you can enjoy the fun and keep your
family fueled, hydrated and healthy.
