I wanted to share a recipe that has been in my recipe box for some time and is truly a hit. It's Sweet and Sour Meatballs. You would want to make your own meatballs for this recipe and cook your own rice, and could add some garden fresh peas to the rice like we do.
SWEET & SOUR MEATBALLS
Meatballs -cooked
1/3 c.vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 of a small can tomato paste
1 tbsp.cornstarch
1 c. water
1 c. pineapple chunks
green pepper pieces- add what you wish
1/4 c.shredded carrots
1. Use a wok to cook the mixture of water,vinegar,sugar,tomato paste,and cornstarch.Keep stirring while cooking.
2. When the mixture is boiling,add cooked meatballs,pineapple,green pepper and carrots.Boil for another minute and service hot with your choice of brown or white rice.
