Review and Giveaway: Green Beaver Co. Gluten Free Products (Canada only)

Green Beaver has a new product on the market- the first certified organic gluten-free personal care products.

I was surprised to see a gluten free lotion when I recieved mine for review. I thought gluten free was only for food.I found it interesting to read that people with gluten intolerances can also get cross contamination by using personal care products made with gluten. Although gluten is normally found in food, it can also be found in lip balms,lotions and shampoos.

The cross contamination can occur if for example a person eats an apple, after applying hand lotion, for instance. A hand lotion which may contain gluten.


There are many personal care products that contain gluten such as:

-Avena Sativa

-Colloidal Oatmeal

-Wheat Amino Acids

-Triticum Vulgare Wheat Amino Acids

-Hydrolyed Wheat Protein and more



Although I am not gluten intolerant, I found it to be another nice product to use that is organic.

I've always been a Green Beaver Co. fan...all their products are great smelling and nice and gentle to use. I loved the smell and the way the lotion felt.

It's a great product to try that will be available in March 2011 at retail health stores. The line up will include shampoo,conditioner,body wash,body lotion and lip balm- all gluten free!
