Review and Giveaway: Sonic Boom "The Skull" Alarm Clock

Thursday, November 11, 2010

NEVER SLEEP IN AGAIN! EVER!

That is if you have the Sonic Boom "The Skull" alarm clock - guaranteed to wake the dead! I am a very heavy sleeper and find that I get used to the noise my alarm clocks make to the point where it doesn't wake me up at all. I have tried many types/brands of alarm clocks over the years and absolutely LOVE "The Skull" alarm clock from Sonic Alert . No one in your house will sleep through this alarm going off!

Sonic Alert specializes in products for the hearing impaired and now have this great line of alarm clocks for those who are not only hearing imparied but who want to make sure that they will not sleep through another alarm. This alarm clock goes off at a VERY LOUD 113 decibles (tone and volume can be adjusted). For comparison a lawn mower is approx 90-100 dB!! There is a strip of flashing lights which go off above the time and the eyes of the skull are a spooky red!

Not only does this alarm wake you with the LOUD buzzer, you also have the option of waking to the "bone crusher", a hockey puck-sized bed shaker that you put between your mattress and boxspring. Even with my 10 inch memory foam mattress I was able to easily feel the annoying vibrations through my mattress. If the sound doesn't wake you up, being shaken out of bed sure will!

"The Skull" also includes a cord to allow you to attach an MP3 player so that you can wake up to your own music playing and if you just don't want to get out of bed yet and can stand to hear this alarm go off again, pressing the skull on the top of the clock activates the "snooze".

*Warning, you may pee your pants/bed the first time you hear this alarm go off and your bed starts shaking!*

  26. My husband needs this! I can't get him to wake up with a glass of ice water. Although I don't really look forward to peeing the bed (!), it would be easier to change the sheets than try to get him up one more time.
