Review: Trius Wines

Thursday, January 13, 2011

Gerry drinks wine more often than I, and usually will have it with his meal as well, depending on his mood and what he is eating. With lasagna and salad last night for supper, he opened a bottle Trius white wine. This bottle was called: Sauvignon Blanc-Vintage 2009 and affordable.

His opinion of the wine was that the wine was very smooth, great tasting and no lingering aftertaste - as well as very pleasant to the palate.

My opinion of the wine was that it was more of a sipping wine for me.I found it to be stronger, but good to sip, and once you had those first few sips, you were ready for more.

Trius's say of their Savignon Blanc is :
The very first vintage of this fun, lively and yummy summer wine. Wakes the palette with refreshing flavours of lemon, lime, grapefruit and green apple. Wonderful with summer salads; lemon parsley chicken or just sipping on the patio.

Trius is a fine wine of Hillebrand's, a Niagara winemaking pioneer for more than 30 years, in the Niagara region of beautiful Ontario, Canada.
